The Council of Elders is to develop and increase appreciation for elders and youth and their contributions to community development.
Believing that education is the inter-generational transmission of the wisdom of the ancestors, which begins with the original message from the Creator to speak truth and to do justice, The Council of Elders is a circle of men and women elders of African American or other African lineage. The Council of Elders is rooted in the seven principles of Kwanzaa- to advance the collective well being of African Americans and other peoples of African lineage in Dayton,OH.
